What is the difference between microfiber leather and synthetic leather?

Jun 20, 2021

The full name of microfiber leather is "microfiber reinforced PU leather". It has extremely excellent wear resistance, excellent cold resistance, breathability, and aging resistance. PU is polyurethane. Polyurethane leather has excellent performance. In this regard, Bayer, BASF, Huntsman's production capacity is world-class, and the textile fiber suppliers that are considered to have higher technology. In foreign countries, due to the impact of animal protection and the development of technology, the performance and application of polyurethane synthetic leather surpass that of natural leather. After adding microfiber, the toughness, breathability and wear resistance of polyurethane have been further strengthened. There is no doubt that such a finished product can be quite excellent. Space leather relates to the structure of microfiber leather, specifically to their surface covering layer. Because it does not matter whether the metal is plated on the inner surface or the outer surface of the leather or leather, or the inner and outer surfaces are plated at the same time.

Microfiber PU Leather

Synthetic leather refers to plastic that simulates the composition and structure of natural leather and can be used as its material. Usually, the impregnated non-woven fabric is used as the mesh layer and the microporous polyurethane layer is used as the grain layer. The front and back sides are very similar to leather, and have a certain degree of air permeability, which is closer to natural leather than ordinary artificial leather. Microfiber fabrics refer to fabrics woven from ultrafine fibers. Generally, we call fibers with a denier of less than 0.3 denier (5 microns in diameter) as ultrafine fibers. The microfiber fabric is comfortable, beautiful, warm, breathable, has good drape and degree, and is also significantly improved in terms of hydrophobicity and anti-fouling. Using the large specific surface area and soft characteristics, different structures can be designed to absorb sunlight or heat faster. The lost body plays the role of warming in winter and cooling in summer. For example, many swimming suits and front garments are made of microfiber fabrics.
