Dec 07, 2022

The Asia-Pacific Leather Show will continue to be held in Dubai from March 13 to 15, 2023. As Hong Kong is restricted by epidemic prevention and control, the Asia-Pacific Leather Exhibition will be held outside Hong Kong for three consecutive years. Nevertheless, organizers say the Asia-Pacific Leather Show in 2024 will return to Hong Kong.
Chinese leather enterprises have begun to participate in overseas trade fairs one after another, and the organizers of the Asia-Pacific Leather Fair expect not only Chinese buyers but also Chinese exhibitors to participate in the 2023 Dubai exhibition. The Asia-Pacific Leather Show is seeking to open the door to the leather market in the Middle East, which is expected to grow significantly in the next few years with the acceleration of infrastructure and the improvement of the epidemic.
Many economies in the Middle East and North Africa will rebound strongly from the 2019 COVID-19 epidemic in 2022. The region's overall economy is expected to grow by 5.5% in 2022, the fastest growth since 2016. Saudi Arabia's GDP growth will accelerate from 3.2 per cent in 2021 to 7.6 per cent in 2022. GDP growth in the United Arab Emirates will grow from 3.7 per cent in 2021 to 6.2 per cent in 2022, the highest rate since 2011. In addition to attracting buyers from the region, the exhibition is also expected to attract buyers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Turkey and Europe. Exhibitors will come from major leather producing countries in the world, and representatives of the entire supply chain of the leather industry will not miss the business opportunities of this exhibition.
