PU imitation leather fabric
PU leather fabrics are made by applying or laminating a 100% polyurethane finish to the substrate. Typical substrates include polyester, cotton, nylon or rayon. The rollers apply a faux grain pattern to the surface to mimic the look of genuine leather. Artificial particles are usually very homogeneous.
PVC faux leather fabric
PVC leather fabrics are very similar to PU leather fabrics. PVC leather fabrics are not polyurethane, but are made by mixing polyvinyl chloride with stabilizers (to protect), plasticizers (to soften), and lubricants (to soften), and then apply it to the substrate. Again, the base material is usually polyester, cotton, nylon or rayon.
