Scrub Leather Shoes Cleaning and Maintenance
Tools: detergent, water (temperature 30~40℃), vinegar, brush
When cleaning the frosted shoes, you can use a soft brush to gently wipe away the stains. Be careful to wipe in the same direction to make the texture smooth, but do not wipe oil. Use 2 parts detergent, 1 part vinegar, and 50 parts water (temperature 30-40°C) to make a cleaning solution. Dip the solution with a shoe brush and carefully scrub the surface of the leather shoes.
Be careful not to soak the shoes in the solution when scrubbing, and try not to soak the shoes in too much solution. After the surface of the leather shoes is basically cleaned, wash the surface of the leather shoes with clean water for 1 to 2 times, and place the shoes in a cool, ventilated place to dry until semi-dry.
When refueling, use a brush to apply the leather fatliquor or emulsified oil (available from the tannery, the oil content is controlled at 50-60%) on the washed and dried to semi-dry suede. The amount is about per pair of shoes. 100 g. In the process of painting, pay attention to make the oil penetrate into the skin as much as possible.
After leaving it for 30 minutes, brush off the oil slick on the surface of the shoes with clean water at 35°C, and dry the shoes in a cool, ventilated place. When the suede shoes are dry, use a steel wire brush or coarse sandpaper to polish the surface to reappear the fluff, and then use a brush to clean it. After the above procedures, the suede shoes will look like new shoes.
Precautions
The frosted leather shoes cannot be wiped with a general brush, which will cause hair loss and damage the leather surface. You must use a special brush for suede to wipe in one direction, and do not wipe back and forth. For coloring, you need to use a special spray for suede, and spray about 20cm apart from the upper. The toe and the root of the shoe are easy to shed, so they are sprayed several times. After they are dry, use a special brush to wipe it again. The storage of out-of-season shoes is very important in the daily maintenance of frosted leather shoes. Store out-of-season shoes first to be cleaned and maintained. After drying in the shade, fill shoe supports or clean soft objects such as newspapers and cloths in the shoe cavity.
