How to Store Leather Jackets?
1. Decontamination. Before storing, wipe off the dirt attached to the leather surface with a clean, non-fading cloth dampened. If the leather surface is oily, wipe it with ammonia, alcohol and water solvents in a ratio of 1:1:1.5, and then wipe it with a clean damp cloth. If the "mold flower" grows on the surface of the leather, it should be wiped off with a flannel or soft brush in time. If the leather is wrinkled, you can use an electric comforter with a temperature of 60℃~70℃, and use a thinner cloth for ironing.
2. Drying. Before collection, leather garments should be placed in the open air to dry. The appropriate time is from 8 am to 10 am and around 3 pm. Avoid exposure to strong light at noon to prevent the leather from heating up and discoloring and accelerating aging.
3. Collection. When storing, use a cloth ball to apply a thin layer of glycerin on the leather surface, then put it in the cabinet, and then air it when wearing it to keep the leather soft and smooth. Pay attention to the collection of leather clothing. Avoid putting it in a sealed plastic bag to prevent the leather surface from losing its luster. Leather clothing should be protected from moisture, otherwise once it becomes damp and moldy, the leather clothing will lose its luster and affect its fastness. If the leather clothing is wetted with rain, immediately use a towel or a clean cloth to absorb the moisture, and place it to dry in a cool and ventilated place. Do not expose it to the sun or bake it, otherwise the leather clothing will become hard or shrink. Put the maintained leather clothing in a special leather clothing maintenance bag (non-ordinary suit storage bag) and hang it in a dry and ventilated closet.
